{"id":7176,"date":"2022-09-21T10:41:11","date_gmt":"2022-09-21T08:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmz.gov.cz\/?p=7176"},"modified":"2022-09-21T10:43:20","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T08:43:20","slug":"setting-up-a-high-level-forum-for-european-standardisation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unmz.gov.cz\/en\/zrizeni-fora-na-vysoke-urovni-pro-evropskou-normalizaci\/","title":{"rendered":"Establishment of the High Level Forum on European Standardisation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In mid-September 2022, the European Commission published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmz.gov.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/Commission-Decision_High-level-forum-on-European-Standardisation-1.pdf\">Decision to set up a High Level Forum on European Standardisation<\/a> announced in <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/CS\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A52022DC0031\">EU strategy for European standardisation<\/a> issued by the European Commission in February 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The High-Level Forum on European Standardisation (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) will be composed of 60 experts from EU and EEA Member States, European standardisation organisations and national standardisation bodies, industry and civil society, including consumer organisations and environmental and social stakeholders, and academia. The Forum's role will be to advise the European Commission on all matters related to standardisation, to coordinate the effective representation of European interests in (international) standardisation fora and to identify and implement standardisation priorities. Members of the Forum, excluding Member State authorities and other public bodies, will be selected through a public call for applications, which will be published in the coming weeks in <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/transparency\/expert-groups-register\/screen\/home\">the Register of Expert Groups of the European Commission<\/a>.
