Editorial Board of the journal Metrology

The Editorial Board of the Metrology journal (hereinafter referred to as the Board) is a permanent advisory body to the President of the Office whose mission is to propose the basic concept concerning the focus of the journal, to ensure the preparation of the publication of individual issues of the journal and to ensure cooperation with professional cooperating entities such as the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI), the Czech Metrology Society (CMS) and the Czech Calibration Association (CCC). The Metrology journal is published 4 times a year and the seat of the Board is the Metrology Department of the Office.

Council meetings are usually held 4 times a year, always before the deadline of each issue of the journal. The Council is responsible for proposing the concept of the journal's focus and its structure. It also proposes current topics suitable for treatment in individual issues of the journal and discusses and approves its content

The Council shall consist of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson and permanent members, who shall represent in particular:

  • publisher (ÚNMZ),
  • Czech Metrology Institute (CMI),
  • Czech Metrology Society (CMS),
  • Czech Calibration Association (CCC).

In addition to these representatives of the above-mentioned entities, the members of the Council are important experts actively involved in the development of the national metrology system of the Czech Republic.
