Targeted survey for the evaluation study of Directives 2014/31/EU on non-automatic weighing instruments (NAWID) and 2014/32/EU on measuring instruments (MID)

An evaluation study is currently being prepared by the European Commission to assess whether the two Directives, MID and NAWID, remain fit for purpose, in particular in terms of their basic requirements, scope and their continued relevance in light of technological developments, market trends and societal changes since 2014. As part of the consultation process for this study, the European Commission launched a targeted survey to gather feedback to support the study. The survey is aimed at public authorities, economic operators, consumer associations and the professional public. The survey will be open until Tuesday 10 December 2024 and the results will be analysed in the final report of the study.
