The European Commission (DG GROW) has launched A targeted survey as part of the consultation process for the preparation of an impact assessment study in the context of a possible revision of the New Legislative Framework (NLF). Based on an analysis of past shortcomings, the aim of this study is to propose a modification of the rules to ensure the readiness of the NLF framework for new technologies, digitalisation and the requirements of the circular economy.
This consultation targets public authorities (including market surveillance authorities, notifying authorities and customs authorities), individual economic operators, conformity assessment bodies and notified bodies operating in sectors covered by the NLF. It is also aimed at accreditation bodies, European and national consumer organisations and professional end-users.
You can send your comments to until 12 March 2026.
The survey can be accessed via an online questionnaire, which is divided into a general section for all respondents and a specific section for each target group.
Detailed information on the survey, access to the online questionnaire and a PDF preview of the questions can be found at here.
