The National Institute of Metrology (ÚNMZ) and the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation (O’ZTTSA) are strengthening their cooperation

On 23 July 2026, further bilateral talks took place at the ÚNMZ headquarters between representatives of the ÚNMZ, the ČAS and partners from Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Akmal Jumanazarov, Director of the O’ZTTSA agency. The delegation also included senior officials from O’ZTTSA, representatives from the Department for Business Projects at the Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Uzbek Ministry of Justice. The Czech side was represented by Jiří Kratochvíl, Chairman of the ÚNMZ, together with senior officials from the agency and representatives of the Czech Standardisation Agency. Representatives from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Prague, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the company Exporta s.r.o. also joined the talks.

The meeting built on previous discussions and existing cooperation in the areas of quality infrastructure and, in light of mutual interest, focused on defining and holding initial discussions on specific areas for developing mutual cooperation.
